Jane Austen
Pride and Prejudice, probably Jane Austen's best-loved novel, is the story of a young woman's search for love and happiness.
Although it was written more than 200 years ago, it is still relevant, as a study both of society and relationships between family members, and men and women.
The main character is Elizabeth Bennett, an outspoken, independent, intelligent yet stubborn young woman, who is the second eldest of five sisters.

Most young women at the time were not expected to express their opinions, but Elizabeth has absolutely no problem speaking her mind.
