Three days on and there have already been plenty of ups and downs for the Hong Kong International Film Festival. However, the fest did manage to catch a break on Tuesday when Jet Li (left) and Jackie Chan decided to host a press conference for their new Hollywood movie, The Forbidden Kingdom, with director Rob Minkoff and actresses Li Bingbing and Liu Yifei in tow. The English-language film is due for international release next month. It's the first time the two martial arts icons have worked together, but it may not be the last. In the most curious bit of information to come out of the press conference, Jet Li suggested the two actors first met about 15 years ago at Golden Harvest, and came up with a story idea then and there, which they now plan to turn into a movie. 'We will fight each other again in the new movie, and it will be even bigger than in The Forbidden Kingdom,' he said, without offering details of the plot. Chan then added that they might create a role for Chan's son, Jaysee Chan (Fong Cho-ming). Now we're curious to learn more. Of course, if The Forbidden Kingdom bombs, the idea might just go back on the shelf.
