The Coffee Shop at the Eaton Hotel in Jordan has been reincarnated as the Metro Buffet & Grill. The new restaurant seats 80 and the main focus of the dining room are the marble and stainless-steel buffet and grill counters. There's also a raw bar featuring oysters, sushi, sashimi and other seafood, and a show kitchen with counter seating, from which diners can watch the chefs in action. Buffets are available from 6.30am to 10pm.
Metro serves an international selection of dishes such as a Mediterranean appetiser platter (below right; HK$78); fish and chips with malt vinegar and tartar sauce (HK$128); braised Wagyu beef cheek with lavender and port wine sauce and truffled mashed potatoes (HK$198); surf and turf (US beef tenderloin with tiger prawn, HK$238); Hainan chicken
rice (HK$98); and Baileys white and dark chocolate mousse with mango sorbet (below
left; HK$58).
