You can't buy your reputation
Nowadays, many people believe that social status and wealth go hand in hand. I strongly disagree.
A person is admired by the public for their service to society. Money has nothing to do with it.
Although celebrities have social status and wealth at the same time, there are other factors behind their popularity. Usually, people like Li Ka-shing often donate money to charity, and are hence praised by the public.
I don't think they will respect rich people who cause problems for others.
Doctors, policemen, firemen and teachers are not as wealthy as entertainers but they are still respected by the public.
Inner beauty is always more important than wealth. Remember, we arrive on Earth with nothing and go away with nothing. You cannot buy your reputation.
