Indian summer
The agreement on air services signed in December between Hong Kong and India begins to make itself felt this month with the launch of non-stop Jet Airways flights to and from Mumbai. The Indian carrier will operate daily Airbus A330 flights, leaving here at 7.05pm and arriving in Mumbai at 11.15pm; return flights depart at 1am and arrive in Hong Kong at 9.15am.
Three of a kind
Upmarket resort Trisara in Phuket, Thailand, has launched three packages for the summer. The most affordable is the Trisara Escape, which includes accommodation with breakfast and private airport limousine transfers. With a two-night minimum stay, this is priced at US$550 a night per room for an ocean-view pool room, and US$975 for an ocean-front pool villa. The Romance package comes with appropriate extras such as a champagne breakfast, massage for two and a 'romantic barbecue' from US$878 per night. The Indulgence package includes three hours for two people in the spa with various treatments, and plenty of chocolate and ice-cream, from US$735 per night. Available until the end of October, these prices are exclusive of 18.7 per cent service charge and government taxes.
