Giorgio Armani's international makeup artist Reza Zaimeche (right) offers some observations on makeup: 'Liquid eyeliner is making a big comeback. We don't have so much cake eyeliner [these days], which is a shame as it really is the best because it's easy to use and blend. 'I have been in this business for 23 years and trends just go in circles. I remember when sparkly makeup was in, then suddenly customers decided it was too ageing and changed to matte colours. Now, 10 years later, we're back to shiny makeup. Most of the time we take inspiration from the street and take it backstage for the fashion shows. 'I have been visiting Asia for the past 18 years and I would say Hong Kong women are really feminine. 'Makeup for me is like cooking. You have your salt (white eyeshadow) and you have your pepper (black eyeshadow). Put a little of this around the eyes, add some red lipstick or lip gloss and you're ready.'
