Hoi Ping Chamber of Commerce Secondary School
Everyone at Hoi Ping Chamber of Commerce Secondary School was overjoyed with the results at the recent Inter-School Athletics Championships.
Among the 16 participating schools in Division One, Hoi Ping's Grade A boys achieved second place, while Grade B and Grade C teams clinched third. Overall, this gave the school third place in the boys' category. It was a major achievement considering the school's humble training facilities.
Several weeks after the event, the school was able to thank the parents and teachers, who are always very positive and encouraging. Along with the school's coaches, they have helped the athletes maintain focus and challenged them to do their best.
Most of the team members do as well in their studies as they do on the sports field. The school does not sacrifice studies for sport.
The motto of the school team - 'Spirit the Essence; Athletics the Form' - inspires the athletes beyond the running track.
