A picture tells a thousand words

The Think Great Snapshot Competition 2008, a contest which combines photographic and English writing skills, is calling for entries.

Organised by Wiseman Education and supported by The Education Bureau and Hong Kong Parents Association, the competition encourages secondary school students to explore and discuss issues that concern them.

It will give them the chance to voice their opinions on what they consider to be important.

Students are invited to submit one photo with a title, caption and commentary illustrating one of the following themes: Social Issues, Popular Culture or Inspiring Persons & Amazing Deeds.

The competition is divided into two divisions - Junior Secondary for Forms One to Three students, and Senior Secondary for Forms Four to Seven students.

Three entries from each division will be recognised in these categories: Best Photo Awards, Best Title Awards, Best Caption Awards, Best Commentary Awards, Think Great Awards and Best Presentation Awards.

Entries must be submitted by May 30. Visit www.englishbuilder.hk/thinkgreat for more information.
