Surgeon-turned-stage producer Dennis Law Kai-yen is publishing a book on the dark side of his marriage to his ex-wife, former martial arts actress Moon Lee Choi-fung.
The 60-year-old Chinese-American filed for divorce last June, accusing Lee of having an affair with a 22-year-old performer. Law (right) said he found the half-naked man hiding in his bedroom closet when he returned unexpectedly to his Vancouver home.
Soon after Lee, 43, who starred in the 1987 action drama Angel, struck back, claiming Law had an affair with a female cast member from his production company, Sight, Sound & Action. The divorce hearings are ongoing in the US.
Law announced this week he would hold a press conference on May 19 on his book Two Faces of the Moon. He said he spent six months writing the account of his failed marriage, to be released next month in English and Chinese. Law told Apple Daily that his upcoming press conference would include some of Lee's former employees, who had 'very strong proof' of her affair.
Lee moved to live with Law in the US after marrying him in December 2001. They have a six-year-old daughter as well as a 10-year-old son from Lee's previous marriage.
Before the split, the pair presented the image of a loving couple. Both were passionate about modernising Chinese performing arts and bought a struggling theatre in Vancouver to stage their action-musicals. Law even quit medicine six years ago to focus on the shows.
