Nude
Who's behind it? Italian label Nude was founded by fashion designers and old friends Luana Rivi and Marinella Sighinolfi. Both have worked with various designer labels - Rivi on the business side of the industry while Sighinolfi was a consultant for various textile companies. Wanting to create their own line, they decided to pool their talents.
Why we love it? The founders describe the brand as 'contemporary clothing with a design concept that is pure, bare and transparent'. Consisting mainly of knitwear, Nude is all about luxurious pieces that are easy to wear and comfortable. The focus is on the materials, with each collection using new yarns and knitting techniques. Each design is timeless but has small unexpected details, while the colour palette is kept simple - think white, earth tones and neutral shades. For spring/summer, the collection has been inspired by 1960s couture and the punk-chic look of the 80s. Expect oversized balloon skirts, cigarette-cut dresses, loose-fitting cardigans and kimono-sleeved tops, while other pieces feature openwork and netted effects and mini-metallic plates or sequins for embellishments.
What we'd pick: the metallic
sheen jersey jumpsuit (left; HK$7,300), which has a sporty-meets-Studio 54 vibe, while still looking chic. For summer, you can't get any sexier than the white jersey top (above; HK$6,560) with split poet's sleeves and a tie wrap under the bust.
