Queen's drummer and playwright to grace local premiere of rock odyssey

It appears one queen will be making a royal appearance at the opening of We Will Rock You this Saturday. Drummer Roger Taylor (left), of the rock group Queen, will be arriving late this week along with the show's playwright, Ben Elton, to attend the popular musical's local premiere at the Academy of Performing Arts' Lyric Theatre.

As you know by now, the show incorporates about two dozen of the British band's greatest hits. Taylor, along with guitarist Brian May, were the two original band members who worked closely with Elton to create the hit.

The two guests will attend a press conference on Friday afternoon to promote the show and perhaps talk about how they managed to write a silly futuristic story with a character named Galileo Figaro and keep a straight face at the same time.
