Eco-friendly Sharkah Chakra jeans, which are made from certified Fairtrade cotton using green manufacturing processes, are now available in Hong Kong. The brand was founded by British 29-year-old Sara Simmonds - a former denim buyer at Harvey Nichols, London - and uses natural dyes on jeans that are woven by hand in India and finished in Italy. The collection features two styles for women; the Orcha (a straight, cigarette pant) and Bimala (right; a bootcut). Cool for summer is the Orcha in sunbaked white (HK$3,000) - white denim that's chemical free and sun-bleached. Lotus Sky (HK$3,000), a vintage blue style embroidered with lotuses on the back pockets, is another summer winner. Available exclusively at Indigo, 32A Staunton Street, Central, tel: 2147 3000.
