Restaurant closed for two weeks for repeated violations A restaurant in Yuen Long was ordered to suspend business for 14 days for repeated violations of the Food Business Regulation, the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department said yesterday. The restaurant, which is at Shop 1, ground floor, Block 2, Wing Fat House, 20 Ma Miu Road, was ordered by the department to suspend business from yesterday to June 8. A spokesman for the department said the restaurant was guilty of an unauthorised extension of a food business and storing utensils for food preparation in open space at the premises in December and March. The restaurant also had two convictions last June and October for an unauthorised extension of a food business. Man, 70, killed by bus A 70-year-old man was run over by a bus and seriously injured in Mong Kok at 3.20pm. Police said the man suddenly fainted while walking on the footpath of Sai Yeung Choi Street and collapsed onto the road. The bus could not stop in time and rolled over him. Firefighters had to free the man from under the bus. The man was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital, where he underwent surgery. Police officers hurt in attack Two police officers were slightly injured when arresting a man in Tai Wai. Police said officers found the man acting suspiciously outside a game centre on Tai Wai Road at about 10.30pm. When they stopped and searched him, they found a small amount of drugs. The man attacked the officers when they tried to handcuff him but was subdued. The two officers were treated at Prince of Wales Hospital and discharged. The man was in detention last night. Woman killed crossing road A 28-year-old Indonesian woman, Ngadikem, was killed when hit by a car in Tin Shui Wai at 7.30am. She was crossing Ping Ha Road in Hang Mei Tsuen when hit and was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital, where she was declared dead at 7.49pm. The driver passed a breathalyser test. Three injured in collision Three people were injured in a four-vehicle collision in Kwun Tong at 8.30am. A taxi stopped suddenly at the junction of Hip Wo and Wan Hon streets and the following taxi, motorcycle and truck failed to stop in time. The injured, aged 30 to 60, were sent to United Christian Hospital in stable condition.
