The boy, who suffered from delayed development due to a medical condition, attended Tutor Time International Nursery and Kindergarten in Kowloon Tong and Pak Tin Centre of the Heep Hong Society.

Ada Chan Pui-chun, who is in charge of the centre, said it would step up hygiene measures. Corridors, washrooms and halls where children gathered would be cleaned hourly from today instead of just a few times in the morning.

The director of the kindergarten, Joan Ho, said the school had undergone a huge cleanup on Monday and always adhered to stringent hygiene measures.

Officials from the Centre for Health Protection sent staff to visit the two schools on Monday.
