I want to make some suggestions on how to reduce the use of plastic bags in wet markets.
Firstly, we can bring our own plastic bags. Those handed out by supermarkets can be washed and reused. We can put in them any meat, fish or vegetables we buy from wet markets.
Secondly, we can use eco-friendly bags to put dry foods, such as onions, carrots and potatoes.
The foods should not be wrapped in plastic bags before being put inside. This would defeat the whole purpose of using eco-friendly bags.
Finally, we shouldn't choose packaged products, especially those covered in plastic materials. These are expensive, so we can save money as well as protect our environment.
If everyone follows my advice, the number of plastic bags used in wet markets can be greatly reduced.
