Today Angela Aki (CD)

Born to a Japanese father and an Italian-American mother, Angela Aki made her name among popular J-pop singers with her debut Home, which sold more than 500,000 copies during its first year of release in 2006.

Now with her second album, Today, Aki shows she still has what it takes to produce another success.

Today features 13 piano pop tracks written by Aki.

It starts with Sakurairo (Sakura Colour) - it's slow at first but has a bouncy chorus.

Title track Today is insanely catchy, with upbeat guitar riffs.

There's no doubt the seventh track, Moral no Soushiki (The Funeral of Morals), is new ground for Aki.
