Cafe Deco on The Peak will have a dinner tonight featuring the wines of Craggy Range. The six-course dinner includes scallop and crystal prawn with seaweed butter, paired with the Craggy Range Gimblett Gravels Chardonnay 2007, roast baby rack of lamb paired with the winery's Te Muna Road Pinot Noir 2006 and Gimblett Gravels Merlot 2004, and pan-seared fillet of beef with truffle oil, served with the Sophia Merlot-Cabernet Franc-Cabernet Sauvignon 2004. Gino Angelini from Angelini Osteria and La Terza restaurants in Los Angeles will be pairing his cuisine with the wines of Angelini winery in Tuscany at a dinner on June 13 at Angelini restaurant at the Kowloon Shangri-La. The four-course dinner includes bombolotti pasta with cured pork cheek and spiced tomato sauce, served with the Angelini Chianti Classico 2005, and a choice for main course of rolled tuna with borlotti beans and basil, paired with the winery's Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2004 or New Zealand lamb loin with potato cake and spinach, paired with the Brunello di Montalcino 2001. Chef Angelini's dishes are also available a la carte from tonight to June 15 and include Tuscan whole grain farro with mache salad and Mediterranean scampi (above), and homemade short pasta with Maine lobster and cherry tomato. His dishes include homemade tagliatelle with duck ragout and chanterelle mushrooms, pan-fried salmon trout with walnut sauce and basil mayonnaise and roast beef loin with vegetables and extra virgin olive oil sauce. Bookings: 2845 5577. Hong Kong's first Winewalk takes place on Wyndham Street this Saturday from 3pm to 6pm. Participants can sample wines from different regions which will be paired with canapes prepared by the 15 participating restaurants, including FINDS, Frog Face Fish, M at the Fringe, Soda, Tivo and Wagyu.
