Sales manager needed to open up new markets

A company that produces baby, child and feeding products is seeking to recruit an Asia-Pacific sales manager to drive the company's sales and marketing team.

'This person will have to manage key client relationships as well as markets in Asia, Australia and New Zealand,' said Aruna Alimchandani, manager of sales and marketing practice at recruitment specialist Hudson.

'They will have to travel around the region and manage a team of more than 10, providing customer servicing and merchandising for the region,' Ms Alimchandani said.

Whoever takes this role will enjoy ample opportunities to develop their career, manage an expanding business and open up new markets. The ideal candidate will have a consumer background with sales and marketing experience across Asia-Pacific.

'You should be able to put strategic plans in place and then drive the team to achieve that plan,' Ms Alimchandani said.

'You should also be able to manage key client relationships at a senior level as well as to develop new relationships, as appropriate,' she said. Candidates should be result-focused, driven and enjoy working for the organisation.

'We are looking for someone who is experienced but wants to drive a growing business - and has the passion to do this, so they need a very energetic and dynamic personality,' Ms Alimchandani said.

'You should therefore not be afraid of being hands on and must be able to motivate your team,' she said.
