Cardiff may sue Luton over Cup tie claims

CARDIFF chairman Rick Wright has threatened to sue Luton counterpart David Kohler for ''substantial damages'' over accusations aimed at the Welsh club's stewarding of the explosive English FA Cup soccer tie at Ninian Park.

Kohler claimed in a letter to Wright he watched stewards ''physically intimidating'' visiting Luton fans on Sunday and said he had been told they also sprayed ammonia at his club's supporters. But in a stinging response Wright claimed it was a Luton fan who had sprayed the substance.

He accused some of the Luton fans of being ''obnoxious, violent skinhead thugs armed with canisters of substance, hell-bent on creating mayhem''.
