The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian Children's fantasy

An entertaining movie for viewers of all ages, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is rife with swashbuckling action, spectacular visuals and Christian symbolism.

Based on the children's fantasy series written by Oxford don C.S. Lewis, the film opens with the four Pevensie children - Peter (William Moseley), Susan (Anna Popplewell), Edmund (Skandar Keynes) and Lucy (Georgie Henley) - being whisked from the bleak, mundane platform of a London Tube station back to the magical realm of Narnia.

The sequence is a jaw-dropping, cinematic spectacle that reminds us of the power of movies to thrill and excite.

Yet the excitement proves short-lived, as the children find the land of Narnia in ruins. Over a thousand years have passed since their departure and Narnia is now ruled by the corrupt King Miraz (Sergio Castellitto).

To secure his position, Miraz attempts to murder his nephew, Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes). Escaping into the forest, Caspian encounters the Narnians - an unlikely collection of rapier-wielding mice, arrow-shooting dwarves, beefy centaurs, handsome satyrs and all sorts of talking animals.
