New Territories Heung Yee Kuk Tai Po District Secondary School
The English Week at New Territories Heung Yee Kuk Tai Po District Secondary School was launched on May 26. The highlight of the programme was a variety show.
Students were entertained by drama performances, singing and poetry recitals. To the delight of the audience, the drama Pirates of the Caribbean won the Best Performance award. The play was presented by a group of students from Secondary One and Secondary Six.
It was the dedication of their English teacher, Cheung Ching-yi, that inspired these students to do their best.
It was a delight to watch the younger actors follow the lead of the older students and deliver outstanding performances.
The story of the school drama was a little different to the Pirates of the Caribbean movies many of us have watched.
