SECOND and third line stocks fell in line with the blue chips yesterday, with manufacturing companies bearing the brunt of the selling.

Lam Soon Food was the worst performing stock, dropping 9.47 per cent to close 22.5 cents down at $2.15 on $2.79 million turnover.

The company is involved in the processing and packaging of flour and edible oils, and has been developing a flour plant in China.

Brokers say there have been some delays on the development of the flour mill in China, which may have moved the share price down.

Matrix Holdings continued its slide, losing another seven cents to close at 83 cents. The company was recently listed on the exchange and has been sold off since its debut.

Overall, the fall in second and third line stocks was not as severe as the drop in blue chips.
