Hong Kong's Dick Lau Siu-wai will go for his first Crocodile Challenge Cup title and Rebecca Chiu Wing-yin will attempt her fourth as both advanced to today's finals at the Hong Kong Sports Institute.
Chiu, seeded second and ranked 14th in the world, will face top-seed Kasey Brown of Australia, who is ranked 13th in the world.
Lau, the first seed on the men's side, will meet Abdullah Al Mezayen of Kuwait.
Chiu's semi-final match against Annie Au Wing-chi was easier than most would have expected with Chiu winning in straight games, 9-4, 9-2, 9-2.
'I think she lost confidence,' Chiu said of Au. 'I played to my standard and today, was quite focused.
'The last few times [we've played] it went to five games so I was expecting something from her.'
Chiu said she had nothing to lose against Brown having gained her confidence in reaching the final.
