Your socks are wet and your curtains mouldy. The entrance to your building has become a skating rink and you've probably lost count of the number of umbrellas you've misplaced.
But Hong Kong can hold its head up high, as the city has just survived its wettest June ever.
The Hong Kong Observatory reports that some time yesterday morning the elements consigned to history the previous record, of 1,083.6mm, set in June 2001.
'At midnight on Wednesday we had measured 1,057.2mm since June 1,' an Observatory spokesman said. 'But to 6pm today we have had 79.1mm.'
'From June 1 we have had 1,136.3mm.'
The Observatory issued a red rainstorm warning at 8.50am - 20 minutes after it had announced an amber rainstorm warning - which was in force until 10am.
