Property agency team leaders are in demand

A property agency has vacancies for 30 individuals who want to become team leaders in a highly demanding profession.

Hong Kong Property Services (Agency) is launching a 24-month training programme in August for those who want to become sales managers, regional managers or director of sales.

You don't have to be an experienced professional in this field because the training programme, and further opportunities, will equip you for the market which can, at times, be highly volatile and competitive. Key attributes are a right attitude and personality.

The company said that its employees came from different backgrounds, and had law and psychology graduates working in senior positions.

Applicants are also expected to show initiative. As a team leader, you should be able to lead a large group of employees to achieve the goals of the company. Candidates are encouraged to provide innovative ideas and put them into practice.

Applicants must pass an emotional and achievement quotient test in the first round of interviews, as these are important aspects of the job.

'The company stresses the importance of handling complex situations. Therefore, someone who can bear the ups and downs of the property market is preferred,' said Caroline Yeung, director of Hong Kong Property Services (Agency).

Ms Yeung also stressed the importance of team spirit. Managers and agents are required to work according to the management system developed by the company to provide efficient services to clients. This means employees must comply and work with others in a cordial manner. Candidates will be evaluated during a group assessment in which they will be assigned projects that require discussion and presentation, and this will test their teamwork ability.

As the training programme focuses on training sales managers, a good knowledge of Hong Kong's economy is a must.

Recruitment day for the training programme will be next Saturday.
