Crack open a can of Slurm for the second Futurama movie, The Beast with a Billion Backs. It picks up where the first left off, with the denizens of the Futurama universe screaming as a cosmic tear in time and space appears and threatens to do 'nothing!'
As people wonder what lies beyond the rift, the Planet Express crew wins the rights to investigate the rift after beating their competitor in a game of 'Deathball,' a life-size tilt maze ball game.
Fry volunteers for the hazardous and possibly suicidal mission to cross the rift suffering a painful break up with his new girlfriend (voiced by Brittany Murphy) when he can't accept the fact the she lives with four other boyfriends.
Meanwhile, Bender is grounded since non-organic life can't pass through the rift. He starts stalking Calculon, star of a robot soap opera. This eventually leads him to join the League of Robots whose motto is 'Death to all humans'.
When Fry re-emerges from the rift, he brings back a multi-tentacled monster that attaches to people's necks and, like in Invasion of the Body Snatchers, takes over their minds.
Fans will enjoy the extra features included on the DVD. There is commentary by series creator and writer Matt Groening and developer David X. Cohen, and Futurama: The Lost Adventure, a long-lost, full-length episode produced for the Playstation 2 and Xbox video game.
