More than 200 able-bodied and disabled secondary students competed in Hong Kong's first Paralympic school day yesterday, an event led by the British Council's Young Advocates. The advocates led students in 10 sports modified to enable able-bodied students to experience sports designed for disabled athletes. Sports included sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball, boccia, equestrian and rowing. The event, which aims to promote social inclusion and the Paralympic spirit, was co-organised with the Hong Kong Paralympic Committee and Sports Association for the Physically Disabled.
