Fun and Games
If you haven't had enough Olympics hype yet, head to streetwear boutique Tough (8 Kai Chiu Road, Causeway Bay, tel: 2882 6036, and other locations) to check out its latest collection of T-shirts, released to celebrate the Games. Look for tees printed with slogans bemoaning the agony of weight-loss and exercise and featuring images of out-of-shape athletes and grammatically incorrect slogans such as 'So why I have to be slimmer' (right; HK$295) or 'So why bother my weight' (HK$295).
Off the cuff
Created by local designer Michelle Lai, a collection of bangles (below) made from her signature vintage obi silk has been released by Mischa Designs. Each bangle is inlaid with the material, coated with resin then moulded into one of four shapes. Choose from two widths, 40mm (HK$680) or 50mm (HK$780) and either a rounded or facet-cut shape. Available at Fang Fong, 67A Peel Street, Central, tel: 3105 5557, and Melaine Living Arts, 15 Lyndhurst Terrace, Central, tel: 2815 7873.
Life's a beach
