Fewer Hongkongers have heard of the term genetically modified food than in previous polls, a Democratic Party survey has found. Only 64.5 per cent of respondents said they had heard the term, lower than the 74.7 per cent in 2003 and 82.5 per cent in 2001. More than 80 per cent said the government had not done enough to educate the public. About 60 per cent would choose non-genetically modified food. Between June 30 and July 6, 679 people were interviewed.
