More than 10,000 students sang We Are Ready, a song marking the countdown to the Beijing Olympic Games, at Gordon Wu Memorial Hall at the Scouts Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui yesterday. They were among 90,000 students at 160 kindergartens, primary and secondary schools across Hong Kong who belted out the same song simultaneously. They sang to launch a series of activities entitled 'On Your Mark - the education sector of Hong Kong welcomes the Olympic Games', aimed at evoking the Olympic spirit in schools. Permanent Secretary for Education Raymond Wong Hung-chiu attended.
