Experienced individuals with strong entrepreneurial skills should jump at this one-time opportunity to join a leading worldwide provider of technologically advanced devices.

The corporation specialises in advanced branded networking products and is now looking for a professional to fill the role of senior human resources manager for Asia-Pacific.

'Hong Kong is the Asia-Pacific hub,' said Melina Lai, human resources recruitment specialist at Hudson. 'Candidates should be internationalised and be familiar with different working cultures and legislation.'

It is important for the job holder to ensure that all aspects of the human resources function of the company are in compliance with local and regional legislation while working hand-in-hand with senior partners and headquarters in Europe and the United States. Reporting to the director of worldwide human resources stationed in the United States, this position requires handling all human resources responsibilities including employee relations, compensation and benefits, organisational change and development, and employee communications.

Applicants must have 15 years of human resources experience with at least eight years in a regional leadership role with previous exposure to working with local teams in the mainland.

Ms Lai said excellent communication skills in English, Putonghua and Cantonese were important for the position because the manager would be exposed to leading multinational companies, mostly from the US, and would have to interact with many senior executives at these companies.
