Fans of the Hellboy comic are anxiously waiting the release of Hellboy II: The Golden Army, the sequel to the underrated 2004 movie.
The super-secret, gun-toting monster hunter appeared in two straight-to-DVD animated movies that have been re-released as a limited-edition package. Not only do you get the two films, Sword of Storms and Blood and Iron, the set also comes with a Hellboy action figure complete with his trademark big stone hand, and accessories including Hellboy's custom-made gun 'the Samaritan' and a samurai sword.
The films feature the voices of Ron Perlman, Selma Blair and Doug Jones who reprise their live-action roles.
In Sword of Storms, a Japanese mythology professor opens a forbidden scroll and becomes possessed by demons who are bent on world domination. The Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defence (BPRD) sends Hellboy and a team to investigate.
But when Hellboy picks up a mystical samurai sword, he ends up in a wonderland filled with ghost and monsters from ancient Japanese folklore. The BPRD has two problems: stop the demons and rescue Hellboy.
Blood and Iron is a monster romp with a female vampire - who likes to bathe in the blood of innocents - witches, ghosts, a giant werewolf and a goddess. The BPRD has its hands full when someone decides to bring the vampire back to life. The aged Professor Broom is the lead investigator with a very concerned Hellboy and fellow agents Liz and Abe in tow.
