Shoe-stoppers
Italian brand Berluti has gone back to its roots by relaunching its bespoke service. For the first time in seven years, customers can choose to tweak any of the label's existing footwear or design something themselves. Creative clients will need to meet with a Berluti craftsman - who will visit Hong Kong next month - and the finished product will be delivered four to six months later. A range of leathers is available, including Venezia, ostrich, snake and alligator. Prices start at HK$59,000. For more information, contact Berluti, Prince's Building, Central, tel: 3114 7987.
Depp impact
Boss Orange, Hugo Boss' edgy street-wear line, is inspired by Johnny Depp this season. In keeping with the actor's cool but scruffy look, expect military- and boho-style pieces such as a pair of black boots (HK$4,350) with a loose leather shaft. The bags are made from canvas and leather with a worn-in look, as seen on the khaki messenger (left; HK$4,000). Available at Hugo Boss, 8 Queen's Road Central, tel: 2868 3122.
Comfort zone
Yachting brand Paul & Shark is known for technologically advanced fashion separates that are perfect for guys who love the outdoors. New this autumn is the Heat (right; HK$18,000), a Teflon-coated jacket with a warming mechanism that will be appreciated in winter. For the sailor, the Interactive jacket (HK$18,000) is water resistant and comes with iPod and Bluetooth connections; after all, you need to have your comforts, even at sea. Available at Paul & Shark, Prince's Building, tel: 2522 3710.
Street wise
Hilfiger Denim is all about cool New York street style this season. Guys can choose from blue striped shirts, polos and flannel shirts with leather trim and metal zippers. If you want high-quality staples, look at the reasonably priced leather jacket (HK$4,390) and jeans (HK$1,190). Available at Tommy Hilfiger, The Landmark, Central, tel: 2301 1288.
