Almost 70 per cent of young adults say they would not be able to afford to buy a flat in the next five years, a survey has found. In a poll of 201 people aged from 21 to 35 by the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong from July 24 to 31, 74.6 per cent of the respondents wanted the government to provide low-interest loans for young people to buy their first flat. The party urged the government to build more Home Ownership Scheme flats.
