Ambience: Old-style Chinese furniture, calligraphy panels, stained glass and a gold rickshaw at the entrance may make you think you've walked onto a film set. But you'll wonder where the cast is: the two-storey restaurant was deserted on the Friday night we visited. Instead of adding to the peacefulness of an interior styled after an ancient Chinese library, however, the emptiness created tension. We were the main actors and our every move invited scrutiny.
