Cyclist Wong Kam-po will discuss his future with his coach after failing to win a medal yesterday.
Wong, 35, finished 15th of 23 riders in the 40km points race with 5 sprint points at the Laoshan Velodrome.
'If I still have the ability, I would like to continue,' he said.
'But the race has just finished and I am in no rush to decide my future. I will take a break and then talk to my coach so we can work out the best for my future.'
Despite the result, Wong was happy with his performance and strongly hinted that he would stay in competition in the near future.
'If you judge by the result, it was not ideal to get 15th,' Wong said. 'But I made three to four attacks during the hour-long race, which all went according to the plan we worked out before the race.
'Although all these attempts failed to gain results, I was able to control my own pace far better than what I did in the Athens Games, when I couldn't find the race rhythm.
