Airport retail takes off
Three new boutiques - Dunhill, Celine and Chloe - have opened in the west hall at Hong Kong International Airport. The Chloe outlet is the company's first at an airport. To celebrate, 100 of the brand's DFS Paddington bags (above) will be on sale.
Zara jumps the Gap
Spanish label Zara has overtaken Gap to become the world's largest clothing retailer. According to vogue.co.uk, this is the first time that it has overtaken Gap, which has reportedly suffered due to a drop in consumer spending in the US.
Lane Crawford horses around
Lane Crawford has teamed up with the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation for an exhibition called the Lane Crawford Horse Sculpture Project (below). Donna Karan has forged an agreement with brand management group Marchpole to develop a complete DKNY men's line. The line, named DKNY Black Label, will debut for spring/summer 2009.
