A statutory body dedicated to building a flexible, high-quality and resilient workforce for the knowledge-based economy of Hong Kong wants to recruit a senior manager, integrated marketing services. The Employees Retraining Board (ERB) provides quality training programmes and services to those aged 15 or above with an education at sub-degree level or below. Alice Cheung, ERB manager, human resources and administration, said the new recruit would formulate strategy for expanding networks and strengthening partnerships with various stakeholders of the board. Other duties ranged from setting up and administering industry consultative networks, to developing and managing an alliance programme, and promoting and managing tailored recruitment and training services for employers, she said. The person will report directly to the deputy executive director, business development and communications, and be responsible for leading and steering three sections under the ERB business development and communications division. The ideal candidate should have a recognised degree in marketing, business administration or related disciplines. A good knowledge of training and continuing education, employment services, award scheme or the Qualifications Framework is definitely an advantage. 'You should have at least 15 years' post-degree working experience, with a minimum of five years of marketing and business development experience at a senior managerial level,' Ms Cheung said. The ERB is particularly seeking an individual with strategic skills, a broad outlook and a proactive, dynamic, innovative and result-oriented personality.
