Six hurt in 3-vehicle collision

Six people were injured in a collision involving two minibuses and a taxi in Prince Edward Road West, near the junction with La Salle Road, Kowloon City, at 10.45am yesterday. A 50-year-old male driver of one of the minibuses was in stable condition in hospital, while the five injured passengers, all women aged between 29 and 59, were treated and discharged.

Man held for failing to produce ID

A man has been arrested for failing to produce his identity card during a police raid on entertainment venues in Tsim Sha Tsui, Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok. The raid was part of a six-hour operation which ended in the early morning. Police said the operation was aimed at cracking down on triad-related, late-night activities. Nightclubs, mahjong parlours, pubs and video game arcades were targeted.

Fire at car wrecker's yard

Ten vehicles were destroyed in a fire at a car wrecker's yard in Tin Shui Wai when a welder set alight one of the vehicles. Firemen spent about an hour putting out the flames.
