A Pakistani man drowned while swimming in Victoria Harbour off Kennedy Town yesterday. Two men, aged 21 and 39, were swimming in the sea off the Sai Ning Street waterfront when they got into difficulty at about 7.30am. A passer-by threw a rescue ring into the sea and called police. The younger swimmer managed to grab the rescue ring, but his friend went missing. Later found unconscious, he was taken to Queen Mary Hospital and declared dead at 8.35am.
