Sourcing office keen on hiring supply and logistics expert
If your work revolves around supply and demand, the logistics are in place for you to make your next career move. Howden Kitchens (Asia), sourcing office of the London-listed Galiform, is hiring a supply, planning and logistics (SPL) assistant manager.
Applicants will need a minimum of five years' work experience, preferably in a buying office, of which at least two years should be at the managerial level.
In addition to a background in supply chain and logistics, a diploma or degree in supply chain management and/or logistics is required. This academic and working knowledge of supply chain operations and performance improvement, related process design and technology applications will help with the work duties.
The position holder will supervise operations of the SPL team related to supply planning on a daily basis, order management and shipment logistics, manage demand forecasts and provide analysis, deliver key performance indicator reports, control systems and processes, provide capacity reviews versus demands, and conduct and report on factory audits.
Travel to the mainland is necessary, so applicants need to be well-versed in local customs, including rules, regulations, procedures and policies.
Fluency in Putonghua, and excellent written and spoken English are also required. A five-day work week and an attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
