It's not exactly a giant step up the brain chain, but Lisa Selesner is no longer just a supermodel. She's a music channel VJ too. After co-hosting that Pulitzer-calibre fount of information Dolce Vita on TVB Pearl, Selesner is moving to Channel V to host music videos, including a new programme called The List, which debuts tomorrow. 'Each week, we have a different topic like 'the most annoying video',' Selesner said. 'The show is very funny and it's very tongue-in-cheek.' The Monaco-born Eurasian beauty - girlfriend of heart-throb Daniel Wu Yin-cho - has demonstrated a certain savviness in dealing with the media. 'On the runway, I get to take on a character, but hosting a show is very much about myself and my own personality. Modelling is something I learned to do, but I think hosting comes naturally for me.' However, the big question as for any runway diva wanting to stretch herself is whether she will keep her last name or stay as 'Lisa S'. 'I think the first person who did it was Maggie Q [Quigley]. Then it was Ana R [Rivera]. I was number three and now we have started an epidemic,' she diagnosed. 'It is totally understandable because western names are very difficult for some local people. There have been times I did TV shows or movies where I asked them to please use my full name. But then people go 'Who is Lisa Selesner?' For Channel V, in order to make sure the audience knows it's the model-turned-VJ, we have decided to use just S.' Clearly, they don't think there are many brainy Albert Es among Channel V viewers.
