Is photo artist Wing Shya overexposed or what? He just wrapped up a recent collaboration with artist Simon Birch for the Chancery Lane Gallery in June. He has a photo exhibit at the Ooi Botos Gallery in Wan Chai and the Landmark Atrium is hosting another of his commissions for fashion label Roger Vivier. In fact, Wing is so busy, he wasn't even at Monday's VIP viewing of his Vivier images, which feature local 'celebutant' mums (and mums-to-be) and their offspring. 'He is in Macau right now,' the company's PR manager, Catherine Ku (pictured), explained about the prolific lensman's absence. 'We asked him if he could be here but he said he's working. He's always working. But at least he's an easygoing guy to work with, very relaxed, not like some other artists.' The photos accompany the shoemaker's family-oriented fund-raising campaign for Operation Smile. During the exhibition, merchandise will be discounted and a portion of the proceeds will go to help children with facial deformities. If you love shoes and want to support kids with cleft lips and cleft palates, today is the last day of the Wing Shya/Roger Vivier photo show and benefit sale in The Landmark.
