Mai Po residential project rejected

The Planning Department has rebuffed a developer that wants to build 21 houses and a clubhouse in the wetland buffer area near Mai Po. Rich Valley proposed easing the height restrictions from two to three storeys for the project, which covers a site area of about 9,000 square metres. The department said it failed to propose a sustainable wetland restoration scheme and demonstrate how it would reduce ecological impact on the wetland.
