The Japanese diva Misia is set to perform in Hong Kong on October 4 as part of her Discotheque Asia 2008 tour. As the last stop on the tour, the Hong Kong show should be extra special. Whether you're going to the show and want to prepare yourself for a great night, or you need consolation for missing out on tickets, check out her latest release Decimo Aniversario De Misia X. As well as a DVD of her 2008 Eighth World Tour, the set includes a CD of remixes of her biggest hits from the last decade, including Yakusoku no Tsubasa, the theme song to mega-hit Japanese movie Cyborg She. The show opens with simulated thunder and lighting illuminating the darkened concert arena. The shroud covering the stage falls away to reveal Misia and her dancers as she launches into the explosive opener Ishin Denshin (Telepathy) and follows it up with Royal Chocolate Flush. Misia moves onto the bright, funky Dance Dance, a fun number with moderate-paced tempo that's great to groove to. The next song Missing Autumn has a disco-like 70s soul vibe that brings a welcome breather. The concert is a staggering two-hour-long, visually stunning extravaganza, jam-packed with awesome music from her last studio album, and several of her early hits. Misia fans need this DVD set.
