Teenagers held over bag snatch
Three teenagers aged 14, 15 and 17 were arrested for allegedly robbing a woman in Yuen Long. They are suspected of hitting the victim, 54, with a hard object and snatching her handbag in Town Park Road North after she got off a bus at about 2am. A security guard called police, who arrested the teenagers and recovered the bag.
Elderly woman stabs her throat
An 81-year-old woman was in critical condition in Princess Margaret Hospital last night after stabbing herself in the throat with scissors in her flat in Lei Muk Shue estate, Kwai Chung, where she lived alone. She was found unconscious at about 12.30pm when her son-in-law, 48, visited.
4 beaten with bottles in bar brawl
Seven men are being hunted by police after four men aged 19 to 22 were beaten with bottles outside a bar in Kam Fai Path, Yuen Long, at about 4am. The injured were treated at Tuen Mun and Pok Oi hospitals. Police said the victims had earlier had a dispute with others in the pub.
