The wacky residents of Maison Ikkoku return in part two of the live-action romantic comedy movie based on Rumiko Takahashi's much-loved manga and anime of the same name.

The original story is epic and spans the years before the two main characters - Yusaku (the goofy underdog) and Kyoko (the beautiful widow) - finally get their happily-ever-after.

Along the way is a bittersweet romance and comedy of errors that even Shakespeare might approve of, if he were around today.

The movie picks up where it left off last year with the incredibly handsome and wealthy tennis coach Shun Mitaka (played by Ikki Sawamura) making his appearance in the last minutes of the movie teaching Kyoko tennis as a horrified Yusaku looks on.

However, Yusaku isn't the only one who has to deal with a love rival. Kyoko soon realises another woman has her eye on Yusaku.

Kyoko becomes very upset when she discovers she has a rival and lets loose with a vicious streak that she takes out on the clueless Yusaku.
