MIDLAND Realty Group, one of top three local property agents, plans to open more branches in an attempt to penetrate further into the market.
This will also enable it to expand its leasing consultancy business.
Late last year, the agency head-hunted the former director of Jones Lang Wootton, Richard Cheung, to head its leasing consultancy division and to handle the expatriate corporate accounts.
In the meantime, the agency is considering listing on the local stock exchange, but chairman Freddie Wong insisted it would be an alternative for raising funds.
Midland Realty has experienced a 50 to 60 per cent growth in revenue since 1991.
In January this year, the company did 900 transactions, making $50 million in revenue or sales commission.
