Singer Edmond Leung Hon-man has copied Kelly Chen Wai-lam by revealing his plans to marry to a stunned concert audience onstage.
The concert was not Leung's own but that of fellow singer Justin Lo, held at Kowloon Bay's Star Hall on Monday evening. Lo surprised Leung by going down on one knee (right, with Leung, far right), as if to propose. Lo asked his band to play The Wedding March jazz style, before asking: 'Are you really getting married?'
Leung, who couldn't stop laughing, paused before replying: 'Yes, I am. It looks like tonight would be a good opportunity to tell everyone. Yes, I will be getting married on December 18.'
Leung, 36, proposed to former model Karen Lam Man-wai at a local theme park in January.
Singer Andy Hui Chi-on declined an invitation to be on the groom's men's list, which includes Eason Chan Yik-shun, Dicky Cheung Wai-kin and William So Wing-hong.
Hui, 41, said he was 'thrilled' for Leung but had been a groom's man several times and was worried it may not be auspicious for Leung.
