Live out your Jedi fantasies in one of the year's most highly anticipated video games, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, from United States-based publisher LucasArts Entertainment. The multiplatform fighting game's story is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope, from the hit movie series directed by George Lucas.

This new chapter in the Star Wars mythos is available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (developed by LucasArts); the PlayStation 2, the PlayStation Portable and Nintendo Wii (Krome Studios); and the Nintendo DS (n-Space).

Players take on the role of Darth Vader's secret apprentice - Galen Marek, also known as Starkiller. He is tasked with killing Vader's opposition within the Galactic Empire and various fugitive Jedi knights.

For every opponent Starkiller defeats, experience points are earned that will increase his power. That means plenty of opportunities for the game's protagonist to unleash the Force - a mystical energy found in the Star Wars universe - in devastating ways against enemies.

In missions on each level, a player will also advance his character's combat abilities whenever upgrade crystals are obtained. These artefacts can bolster the effectiveness of your lightsabre, teach you new attack combinations and amplify your Force powers.

The game also offers a combo system for stringing lightsabre attacks and combining those moves with Force powers. That variety is needed since Starkiller faces more than 50 enemies of varying strengths and weaknesses.
